Just off the A57 Snake Pass summit in the Peak District is a peatland that is being monitored by Moors for the Future. Dales Land Net Soil Monitors have been installed alongside dipwells and study quadrants. As with the nearby Kinder Scout peatland restoration project, understanding the soil moisture is a key factor to its success.

In addition to being a good study site, the location close to the A57 makes it simple for the researchers to bring visitors who are interested in the project.
