Catchment Monitoring

One of the primary factors affecting how high a stream rises after a rainstorm is how saturated the soil is on the hillsides of the catchment.  A single sensor alone cannot offer insight on varying terrain with differing soil characteristics.

Placing multiple soil moisture sensors in an area provides a far clearer picture, allowing data to be gathered with greater granularity.

You can put a collection of soil moisture units plus a rain gauge into a mini-catchment, all for the price of a single unit from other companies.

The units report in wirelessly as often as every 30 minutes.  No dataloggers.  No site visit required.
